Welcome to St Mary’s Church
We hope you find what you are looking for on this website – we would love to hear from you too. St Mary’s Church is a church which is always open – please visit there if you are passing. Over the years, many people have left their prayers in this quiet space and it is a space you too may feel comfortable to spend some moments in. You will always find a warm welcome at St Mary’s. The regular congregation are fully involved in church life, and support activities both within their own community and further afield. Church services are held here on alternate Sundays, and also as part of a rotation whereby each of our Benefice Churches in turn host a service for everyone. St Mary’s is a church building where other events (particularly concerts and meetings) are focused, as the building has several distinct internal areas besides the worship space. For further details on any aspect of life at St Mary’s, please contact the Church Wardens, Peter Sampson and Ann Boulter. (Details on the ‘Contacts’ page)
We look forward to meeting and getting to know you. Every blessing.
– Rachel

Who We Are
St Mary’s congregation come from across the surrounding area and enjoy meeting together to worship God and to share in fellowship whilst learning more about our faith.
For our regular church services, we welcome between 20 and 30 people each Sunday, ranging in age from toddler to our oldest member, who is now 96 years old. We aim to make our services warm and inviting, and encourage involvement from anyone who wishes to take a part, including as part of our Reading and Prayer Rota.
