Candlelit Concert at Benhall Church featuring Sam Kelly

Surrounded by the glow of candles and fairy lights, Benhall Church will host this special evening in memory of Kath Sampson. This annual event is now in it’s fifth year, raising money for Benhall Church for which Kath was dedicated fundraiser throughout her life. Make sure you come along and support this wonderful evening.

This years concert will feature the incredible Sam Kelly, a BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winning singer, song-writer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. As a young child Sam spent many a night enraptured, listening to his Irish grandfather tell folk tales, sing folk songs, and play folk tunes on his melodeon. Having caught the bug, Sam has dedicated his life to rediscovering and renewing the sounds of his gaelic heritage, and creating exciting new music that transcends the boundaries of traditional and popular music.

Sam is a firm favourite at Folkeast festival having opened the festival this year. His regular appearances with his band Sam Kelly & The Lost Boys have delighted audiences near and far. You will certainly come away from this very special evening with a smile on your face.
