A busy year ahead for the team at St Mary’s! We are planning to host a regular Sunday ‘Tea and Cake’ afternoon at the Church, starting on 28 April with a showcase that reveals the exceptional talent of local artist and friend Jenny Toombs, who died last year.

Jenny was well known for her creative skills, which included intricate stamp designs for a number of countries, illustrations for books, cards and calendars, delicate embroidery and tapestries, paintings and  imaginative village signs…to name but a few. She had a passion for wildlife and also for music, both of which featured strongly in her life and activities, and a deep personal Christian faith which supported her throughout all that she did.

The showcase of exhibits will be open in the church from 2pm – 5pm and a selection of refreshments will be available. Admission is free and will provide an opportunity to see and appreciate the breadth and talent of a very special local lady.

Future dates for ‘Teas at the Church’ : 30 June, 28 July, 25 August – put them in your diary – we’d love to see you!

NB  St Mary’s Church can be found in Deadman’s Lane, Benhall  IP17 1JL (along from The Walled Garden)
